Ever wonder the best way to find a nystagmus?

Dizziness, Balance & Concussion Centre - BPPV
The best way to detect BPPV

Traditionally, Frenzel googles have been used to look for nystagmus when testing the vestibular system.

However, the vast majority of vestibular specialists agree that being able to test clients in darkness while still seeing what is happening with their eyes, is the best and most accurate way to test.

That is why at the Dizziness, Balance & Concussion Centre we use Infra-red Video Frenzel Googles - they allow us to see and video record your eye movements in real time. This allows for accurate testing and can even show clients the extent of their nystagmus - which can be pretty amazing and explains why they are feeling so dizzy!
